FOOTBALL!! BOOODY HELL!!

I will blog on the mad goings on over the weekend as soon as I get some time, and my breath back!
In the meantime it would be wrong to let an amazing anniversary go by without mention. I can hardly believe it but it is 20 years this Wednesday since the famous 5-1 City derby victory.
I was there that day and can still remember being at the bar in the Main Stand at half time when City were 3-0 up already. It was mad. People were bordering between stunned silence and hysteria. I got back to my seat just in time to see Mark Hughes score what was in fairness the best goal of the game. How ironic is that?
A great scissor/bicycle kick. It was a gloriously sunny day and the few days afterwards were some of the best examples of City bragging rights there have been in the last 30 odd years or so. There were plenty of jokes too. Why is snooker like a Manchester derby? Because you get 5 for a blue and 1 for a red. Boom Boom!!
Anyway, for those of you who weren't there, or those of you who were and want to relive it, here it is MANCHESTER CITY 5 v. MANCHESTER UNITED 1 - September 23rd 1989.
